How and where to connect with me
Over the next month, I'll be posting here and on my “Laurel Sliskovic for Campbell River City Council” Facebook page, and I'll do my best to respond and connect with anyone who is interested in learning more about why I am running for City Council. You can email me at LaurelSliskovic@gmail.com, connect with me on LinkedIn, and/or find and follow me on Facebook and Instagram. I don't promise to be on social media sites every day, but I will respond within 24 hours during the week, and 48 hours on the weekends during this campaign (and I'll update my response times once I'm an elected official).
I really miss interacting face to face with this beautiful community of Campbell River, so while I wish, hope, and do my part to bring us to the times where we can connect and gather in the places and spaces we all love here at home, I won’t be encouraging any rallies in person (I do, however, pay close attention to our PHO and will modify all campaigns plans accordingly). Leisure and recreation mean a lot to me, and I am so very grateful that I get to live in Campbell River during this global pandemic, so I am continuing to play outside whenever I can, and I hope you all are too!
If you see me out on the trails (biking, running, walking, singing, talking, or silently strolling), at one of our local stores or food & beverage establishments (we have some gems in this city), or anywhere else in the community, please feel free to say hi (safely - masks, distance, and all other PHO guidelines please!) and let me know how and why Campbell River matters to you.
There are so many things to love about the Riv, and I'm excited to keep learning more! General voting day in Campbell River is Saturday, February 27 and there are a number of advance poll dates as well (I'll post and link details in the coming weeks), so please vote for me on or before February 27!
